Preheat the oven to 400
Slice off the top of the head of garlic
Drizzle the oil or butter over the top, letting it seep down
Place the garlic on the tinfoil and make it a little fort. You want the garlic enclosed, but not so that the tinfoil is touching the garlic
Place in oven and let roast for 40 – 60 minutes
Carefully remove from the oven and let cool
Each clove should easily slide out and you can immediately incorporate your garlic, or store it for a few days in an air tight container.
